Neurosurgery

This department sits on the state high hence we are faced with RTA mainly. So our major contribution in the department is trauma neurosurgery. Here we coordinate with orthopedics, faciomaxillary, ENT & ophthal. Most of the cases were having severe brain injury. Hence we share the ICU with medical & surgical ICU’s. Our aim in the department was to become a complete trauma care. The other players (Ortho, faciomaxillary, ENT, Opthal) stepped after our patients became stable. We also focused on training the staff nurse for head injury care. We had regular updates, classes for the staffs in the casualty, ICU & casualty ward our service is available 24X7.
